Agri-Business Incubation Network (ABIN)
Agriculture is the main source of income in Burundi, but crushing poverty and conflict affects small rural farmers the most. If farmers were to build their own successful agricultural businesses, they would need access to the latest entrepreneurial knowledge as well as basic necessities such as a viable working space.
ABIN is a response to these demands. By establishing a network of agribusiness incubation centres, SPARK addresses these needs and helps farmers become the agri-entrepreneurs they want to be. As a result, the poorest farmers are able to significantly improve their livelihoods and thrive as independent, self-sufficient, and valuable members of their communities.
