Refugees and migrants arriving in Europe face huge challenges in joining the workforce.
They lack of knowledge of local systems or laws, language barriers or cultural differences. Despite this, migrant populations are statistically more likely to become entrepreneurs than local populations.
Supported by local partners, SPARK builds large, sustainable networks, which connect young refugees and migrants who want to start their own business with providers of training, coaching, and access to finance. Often entrepreneurship can positively impact newcomer’s participation, resilience and empowerment in a new environment.
