From Networking to Joint Green Action: Green Forward connects Jordanian and Palestinian BSOs at the Arab Impact Summit 2026

At the Arab Impact Summit 2026 in Amman, Jordan, Green Forward brought together Business Support Organisations (BSOs) from Jordan and Palestine to strengthen connections, share experiences, and explore collaboration opportunities in the green and circular economy during the From Networking to Joint Green Action session.

Held on 6 October 2026 as part of the Green House programme, the Green Forward Jordan–Palestine BSO Networking & Collaboration Session: From Networking to Joint Green Action was jointly organised by the Green Forward teams in Jordan and Palestine, with support from the European Union, and in partnership with SPARK,  the Center of Energy and Environmental Sustainability (CEESI)–Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI), and Flow Accelerator. The session brought together key representatives, including Dina Almasaeid, Middle East Regional Programme Director at SPARK; Maen Al-Ayasreh, Director of CEESI–JCI in Jordan; and Majd Khalifeh, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Flow Accelerator in Palestine. The session was facilitated by Odeh Al-Dabbas, Technical Coordinator and ESG Expert, and brought together participating BSOs from both countries.

Rather than a traditional panel, the session used an interactive networking format. It facilitated group discussions that encouraged participating BSOs to share their expertise, identify common interests, and explore practical areas for cooperation. Discussions covered green business support, circular economy, green finance, market access, sustainability and ESG, green skills, entrepreneurship and SME support.

The session also highlighted the value of bringing the two ecosystems closer together. Dina Almasaeid, Middle East Regional Programme Director at SPARK, reflected on the role of Green Forward in turning these connections into opportunities for meaningful collaboration:

“The Green Forward programme is creating more than a network of Business Support Organisations; it is creating a bridge between ecosystems. Connecting Jordanian and Palestinian BSOs allows us to move from regional networking to practical collaboration, creating opportunities to exchange knowledge, build partnerships and deliver greater impact for entrepreneurs across both markets.”

For participating BSOs, the value of the session was also in the opportunity to move from broader networking towards more practical technical exchange. Abeer Qutairi, Programmes Director at the Economic and Social Development Center (ESDC) in Palestine, one of 9 BSOs benefiting from Green Forward in Palestine, described the session as an important first step in building connections with Jordanian organisations working in similar areas:

“Today was our first external networking activity in Jordan, and it was a great opportunity to learn about Jordanian organisations working in areas similar to ours. We hope to build on these connections through more technical exchange, training and knowledge sharing, and explore how good practices and expertise from both sides can help address practical challenges faced by small businesses and cooperatives.”

The session also highlighted the potential for collaboration around specific technical areas, including women-led businesses in clean energy, food processing and drying, and approaches to strengthening the environmental practices of small businesses and agricultural organisations. For BSOs, continuing these conversations could open opportunities for practical learning and support between organisations in both countries.

This focus on practical exchange was echoed by Tameem Alzoabi, Vice President of REES, one of Green Forward’s advanced BSOs in Jordan, who highlighted the value of the summit in creating connections that can lead to joint activities and business development opportunities:

“The Arab Impact Summit is a unique opportunity for international networking, meaningful engagement, and exchanging experiences that strengthen our collective social and business impacts. These connections open pathways to practical collaboration and joint activities, translating shared ideas into concrete action and business development opportunities in today’s rapidly evolving economy.”

Following the session, participating Jordanian and Palestinian BSOs will share their areas of expertise, collaboration interests and potential areas for joint action. The Green Forward team will use this information to identify complementary organisations and facilitate targeted matchmaking across four key areas: green entrepreneurship and innovation, women-led and inclusive green business, green industry, circular economy, market access, green finance, ESG, and green investment.

The next step will be to move from initial connections to concrete collaboration opportunities, with interested BSOs identifying potential joint activities, focal points and practical next steps. The Green Forward team will support this process by facilitating follow-up discussions, tracking agreed actions and supporting the development of partners
