Video: An Unexpected Education Opportunity
The latest film by SPARK & Al Fakhoora features Syrian student, Omar.
Omar is a quietly ambitious Syrian 22 year old. He unexpectedly found himself becoming a refugee in Jordan five years ago but needed to continue his life.
However, in order to obtain a scholarship to study again he needed qualifications and English language. Eventually, he heard about the scholarships offered by SPARK and Al Fakhoora, which don’t require students to speak English.
The scholarships also specifically fund studies related to the future rebuilding of Syria, such as Engineering, Teaching and Psychology.
Omar studies Civil Engineering at Alquds College, Amman. One day, he believes, he will use the knowledge and skills he has learned to reconstruct his country.
