For Amir Qutteineh, the idea behind A&M Adventure was never just about physical activity. It was about offering a space where people could reconnect with nature and with each other. The project brings together elements of sport, teamwork, and reflection in a way that is rare in Palestine.
A&M Adventure organises rope climbing activities, obstacle courses, and nature-based group events that focus on personal and collective challenge. These experiences are open to people of all ages and skill levels. The activities are guided by safety specialists and supported by engineering expertise. Whether for school groups, families, or corporate teams, each session is designed to promote focus, trust, and confidence.
At the moment, the team operates outdoor events in natural settings across different areas. Plans are now in motion to build a permanent rope challenge park, which would be the first of its kind in Palestine.
“With every step upward or downward, we learn that the real challenge is not just at the top. It is in the path we take to get there,” Amir said.
Support that pushed the project forward
Amir discovered the Riyada programme through social media and joined to help build the foundations of his business. Developed by SPARK and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, Riyada provides Palestinian entrepreneurs with hands-on training, business mentorship, and financial support. It also strengthens support services offered by Business Support Centres and universities.
“My journey with the Riyada programme was incredible. The funding helped us purchase equipment, which allowed us to safely run larger activities and bring in more participants,” Amir said.
The programme gave Amir the tools and confidence to expand his reach while preparing for the long-term goal of a fixed location. It also helped him frame the business model more clearly and focus on how to grow in a sustainable way.
A different kind of business
A&M Adventure is not a typical startup. It is a physical, outdoor project in a context where access to open space and safe recreation is limited. The work relies on building trust with local communities, adapting to different environments, and offering an experience that people remember.
Looking ahead, Amir wants to keep the project rooted in values that go beyond business, “My advice to the next generation is to love nature. It is one of the most important and beautiful parts of our lives.”
A&M Adventure is still growing, but it shows what can happen when a clear idea is matched with the right kind of support.
