SPARK Joins Global Partnership for Youth 2015
SPARK is proud to announce a partnership with the United Nations’ Global Partnership for Youth in the Post-2015 Development Agenda (GPY2015).
The Partnership initiative was announced on January 18th 2014 by the President of the United Nations General Assembly in cooperation with the the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth.
By bringing together a wide spectrum of stakeholders as a unified voice for youth priorities in the post-2015 development agenda, the Partnership aims to create an inclusive platform for young people to formulate concrete ideas that can be proposed for the inter-governmental deliberations.
Crowdsourcing Initiative on Youth for the Post-2015 Development Agenda
The crowdsourcing initiative offers a platform for thousands of youth and youth-development actors from around the world to help identify and formulate concrete youth priorities to be proposed in the post-2015 development framework as it pertains to youth.
Under the five thematic areas Education; Employment and Entrepreneurship; Health; Good Governance; and Peace and Stability, the platform offers a virtual space for young people to express their priorities and how these can be reflected in the design and implementation of the post-2015 development agenda.
By supporting this initiative and continuing our efforts to pursue our mission, SPARK strives to contribute to the sharpening of Youth Priorities in the Post-2015 Development Agenda.
