Empowering Youth in Lebanon through Digital Upskilling and Jobs .
IGNITE TechTalk is powered by Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation and SPARK.
The global pandemic, climate crisis, and digital revolution have dramatically changed our lives in recent years, and will continue to do so. Specifically, they are having a significant impact on our jobs and education, and how we think about them in the future.
The regional IGNITE conference series with Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation and SPARK addresses these changes, challenges and opportunities in the context of fragile and conflict-affected regions of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Together, we work to create impactful jobs for youth, women and refugees. The events tackle the future of jobs, how to upskill students with sought-after skills, ensure university and vocational education institutions become future-ready, support innovative green and tech startups to scale, and boost the entrepreneurial ecosystems in fragile regions to become more enabling environments for businesses to adapt and grow within new markets.
The IGNITE conference series brings together governments, private sector and NGOs in compelling conversations, keynotes, panel discussions, masterclasses, workshops, quizzes and more. High level international and local thought-leaders from throughout the MENA region bring their expertise in economic development, job creation and higher education. The event series is powered by the Al Ghurair Thought Leadership Series and IGNITE, and lead up to SPARK’s annual 10th IGNITE conference in Amsterdam in May 2024.
