About Youth Grow Activity
SPARK is implementing the USAID-funded Youth Grow Activity (YGA), a five-year initiative launched
in 2023 to improve the economic outlook for Jordanian youth. YGA aims to strengthen inclusive and
opportunity-rich local systems that empower youth and promote long-term stability. The activity
focuses on increasing youth access to income-generating opportunities, enhancing youth economic
leadership, and strengthening the youth development ecosystem in Jordan.
As part of this effort, SPARK is recruiting a Youth Entrepreneurship Specialist to manage and
support youth entrepreneurship-related activities within YGA.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
The Youth Entrepreneurship Specialist will act as SPARK’s technical representative on the YGA
project, leading and supporting entrepreneurship activities. Responsibilities include:
Program Implementation & Technical Support
● Design and implement a comprehensive youth entrepreneurship readiness program across all
Jordanian governorates.
● Organize and lead outreach events, bootcamps, incubation and acceleration programs,
mentoring, and youth grants.
● Develop and update entrepreneurship training content tailored to the needs of youth.
● Facilitate partnerships with key stakeholders, including MODEE, universities, youth-
led/serving organizations, and local entrepreneurship support institutions.
● Lead innovative initiatives such as video game development and monetization programs.
● Support research and assessments on youth entrepreneurship opportunities and challenges.
● Promote access to enabling technologies like AI and digital tools for youth entrepreneurs.

● Contribute to youth capacity building for entrepreneurship, the gig economy, and remote work.
● Support scouting, evaluation, and due diligence of youth-led and youth-relevant enterprises.
Monitoring and Evaluation
● Collaborate with the MEAL team to track outcomes of entrepreneurship activities.
● Contribute to reporting and continuous improvement based on data and learning.
Coordination and Communication
● Coordinate with other project components to ensure integrated support for youth.
● Maintain regular communication with youth participants and stakeholders.
● Document success stories and lessons learned.

Requirements and Qualifications
Education:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
● A Master’s degree in a relevant field is a strong asset.
Experience:
● 5–8 years of relevant experience in international development, youth entrepreneurship, or
economic empowerment.
● Prior experience with USAID-funded projects is an advantage.
● Solid understanding of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Jordan.
● Proven ability to build effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
Skills and Competencies:
● Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
● Excellent verbal and written communication in Arabic and English.
● Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time within Jordan.
● Strong organizational and time-management skills.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
● Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and in teams.
