Apply now for SPARK’s youth agribusiness competition

In July 2012, SPARK commenced a new and exciting 4.5-year programme on job creation through agri business and agri value chain development, funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

For the second time in South Sudan, SPARK is initiating a Youth Agribusiness Competition for both Juba and Wau and their surrounding areas.  This competition aims to encourage entrepreneurship among young people in South Sudan.

To compete, you must be a South Sudanese Youth between the ages of 18-35 that is passionate and committed to embarking on and sustaining an agricultural enterprise.

Spark will be selecting 20 youth entrepreneurs, based on their business idea entry form, to engage in a Business Plan and Business Skills training.  The best business plans will receive access to finance, coaching & mentoring, technical support and and additional business training.

Young people are invited to send in their business idea (see application form) before April 5th 2013. The terms and conditions 2013 explain the set up of the business plan competition and the criteria and guidelines mention how the business plans will be assessed. Please submit your business idea form to southsudan@www.spark-online.org.
