Safeguarding MSMEs during COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic is disproportionately affecting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). Much is needed to safeguard the jobs these companies provide, especially in already vulnerable economies.
SPARK is providing technical assistance and access to financing opportunities for MSMEs under its COVID-19 Response Programme in the Middle East and North Africa region. Alongside our partners, we’re helping to safeguard jobs by supporting MSMEs to survive or expand. The support focuses on the immediate needs of MSMEs to sustain their work through digital platforms and/or with remote working practices. By collaborating with local partners such as incubators and accelerators, as well as local business consultancy firms, SPARK and SANAD are simultaneously strengthening the capacity of local partners in the selected countries.
