Today in Palestine, restrictions on movements and goods means that jobs are few and far between. In order to boost the number of youth entering employment, SPARK created MSMEs through incubation and enhancing the skills of entrepreneurs to become more competitive and financially sustainable.
BSIS was implemented within five existing incubators in the West Bank and Gaza. Drawing from past experiences and lessons learnt of these incubators, skilled trainers provided entrepreneurs with business skills, systemic coaching, access to information and finance. Entrepreneurs were able to translate their creative ideas into viable businesses. The programme also strengthened the capacity of the incubators, which have continued to support ambitious Palestinian entrepreneurs with quality services to create more jobs.
