Entrepreneurs Awarded by the BSC Kosovo
The Business Support Centre Kosovo (BSCK) organized its annual event for the second time to award local entrepreneurs with the best business plans. With support from SPARK, the BSCK certified 104 entrepreneurs who have attended an intensive four week training on Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Public Relations, Business Finance and Business Plan Writing. Another 41 students were certified for attending a Career Development Training and Basic Entrepreneurship Skills Training. 63 entrepreneurs who took part in this cycle of trainings submitted their business plans.
The eventful day was attended by around 150 people; among the audience were young entrepreneurs, donors, students and investors. Six entrepreneurs were chosen from an independent jury to pitch their business ideas in front of the audience. Beside this, eight entrepreneurs have won the Business Support Package from BSCK, including a loan up to 10,000 Euro, paired with consultancy, coaching, and networking trainings with businesses in Kosovo. The awards were presented to the winners by SPARK representative Mr. Adrian Nikacevic.
It has been a successful year, as the Business Support Centre Kosovo has certified 274 entrepreneurs for a four-week training on Entrepreneurship, and another 268 students on Career Development. 149 business plans were submitted by entrepreneurs in 2013.
The BSCK provides practical trainings to young people throughout Kosovo on how to establish micro, small and medium sized enterprises through technical and financial assistance. The ultimate goal of BSCK is to establish and assist SMEs in Kosovo and therewith provide Kosovar youth with necessary skills to be self-employed and create new jobs.
Up to date, BSCK has provided trainings to more than 5000 young people in Kosovo and has supported over 200 SMEs. BSCK strives to pursue its goals and to continue the support for young entrepreneurs of Kosovo.
