As a continuation of MSU13 (Mitrovica Summer University 2013), financed by the British Embassy in Pristina, SPARK organised another training for young participants who had the opportunity to attend the MSU13 and the Leadership Weekend in Skopje. Taking place in the mountainous landscapes of Brezovica between the 25th and 26th of February, 14 participants from various communities met on the topic of, “Empowering Youth for Active European Participation.”

Central to the theme of this training subjects such as activisim, scholarships, internships and preparing the young students for the labour market, were covered.  With the aim to contribute to shaping their career development, the training invited students from IBCM (International Business College Mitrovicia), Pristina University and University of Pristina temporarily located in Mitrovica to join and participate. The involvement of participants with diverse nationalities and different attitudes and opinions brought about a fruitfull cross-cultural learning experience.

After two days of learning, socialising and relaxing, the participants declared the Brezovica training to be a success. Through the training, the students were made aware of the significance of being active in the field of EU and striving towards empowering the EU accession process. The young participants had the opportunity to share their experiences and knowledge, but most importantly, this gave them a chance to build a network and make connections for when they enter into the job market., which can be useful when the students are ready for the job market.
