What Will My Learning Experience and Journey Look Like?
Students will access course materials through their virtual classroom. They will also have weekly virtual touchpoints with Udacity Session Leads to monitor their progress, work through case studies, and resolve technical challenges. To graduate, students must complete a set of projects within the specified timeframe. They will also benefit from networking opportunities with like-minded individuals, mentors, and potential employers through events such as career fairs, study jams, and other in-person activities.
What Are “Connect” Sessions?
“Connect” sessions are mandatory weekly meetings with a Udacity Session Lead to track students’ progress, address their technical challenges, and collaborate on relevant case studies whenever possible. These sessions also provide an excellent opportunity for students to connect and exchange knowledge with their Session Leads, ensuring they stay on track to graduate on time.
How Many Places Are Available on the Programme?
There are only 6,000 scholarships available for students throughout the entire programme duration. Applying early increases your chances of securing a spot on the programme.
What Is The Eligibility Criteria for Enrolment?
Applicants for the Palestine Launchpad with Google programme must currently reside in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, or Gaza. Ideal applicants should be young professionals with an educational background in a computer science field or a related area, and have the flexibility to dedicate 10-15 hours per week to online learning and attend mandatory 1.5-hour weekly virtual sessions with their assigned Udacity Session Lead.
Are There Any Fees for Enrolment?
No. This is a free scholarship opportunity. Once accepted, you will be exempted from all programme fees.
When Do Applications Start and Close for the Programme?
The Palestine Launchpad with Google is a three-year programme operating in cycles. In the first cycle, we selected 611 participants to enrol in one of the three Nanodegrees. This means that there are 2,389 opportunities still available. For the second cohort, applications are open between 28th August and 3rd October 2023, providing a chance for 600 new students to enrol.
What Is the Duration of This Programme?
This programme spans a 4-month learning journey. Seats are limited, and we encourage you to ensure you can commit the required time and energy before applying.
Will This Programme Be Conducted Online or In-Person?
The programme was designed to be a comprehensive online learning experience. With a functional internet connection, you can learn, work, and progress from anywhere. While physical in-person sessions are available, they are not mandatory.
Can I Join Two Programmes Simultaneously?
To ensure access for as many students as possible, and due to limited capacity, each student can only enrol in one programme at a time. After graduating, you can apply to other nanodegree programmes in future cohorts, provided these programmes are still available.
Will I Receive a Certificate After Completing the Programme?
Certainly! You will receive a completion certificate upon graduation. You can view your certificate on your Udacity account and share it with others.
How Will My Name Appear on the Certificate?
The name on your certificate will match the name you used to create your Udacity account. If you need to make any changes to your name, make sure you edit it in your classroom settings before clicking the “Graduate” button”. Name changes cannot be made to certificates after graduation.
