African Education innovator to deliver keynote at IGNITE! 2015
Ask any experienced economist, businessman or politician and they will agree that entrepreneurship is a key driver in an economy. And in order to cultivate social and economic success, it is essential to encourage a culture of entrepreneurship where creativity and innovation are valued. Enter Thierry N’Doufou, the Ivorian entrepreneur who made history when he designed Qelasy, Africa’s first educational tablet. Qelasy fuses technology and education, blending the information of an entire educational curriculum with the music and animation that children love. Thierry’s ambition when designing this tablet was to create a modern method of education which reflects and engages with contemporary technology.
By using this tablet in schools young Ivorians will grow up speaking technology fluently, and the potential economic impact this skill holds for the economy of this emerging country is massive. Thierry will be delivering a 15 minute keynote speech at the 3rd annual IGNITE! conference on November 11th. His reflections and experiences on the role of enterprise in the future of fragile states are sure to be fascinating; so don’t forget to register!
